About This Course
The Training of the Trainer Online Programme is an excellent way for you to start your journey to becoming an exceptional trainer and facilitator. There are four courses that form part of the online programme, this course being part 1. You will be required to complete all four online courses as a prerequisite to attending the Training of the Trainer facilitated workshop.
Part 1 consists of eight modules covering the fundamentals of training.

Thomas is the Chairman of FIATA-ABVT, which oversees the FIATA Association Member’s training programmes. He has been assisting with setting up, and qualifying the standards of the international freight forwarding and transport logistics training curriculums, and the eventual FIATA validation of their national training programmes since 2002.
He has also represented the FIATA foundation as lead-lecturer at Training of the Trainers programmes held in numerous countries. Under the invitation of various national associations, he launched other capacity-building courses covering Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe.
Thomas has also been representing the Singapore Logistics Association since the year 2000. He is currently the chairman of the Working Group Education and Training of ASEAN Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations.

2. Who should take this course?
FIATA guides association members to select industry domain experts and practitioners covering each of the 14 competencies in the FIATA minimum Standards to complete the Training of the Trainer Online Programme and the Training of the Trainer workshop. The domain experts should have at least five to eight years' vocational experience in any areas, or multiple areas of expertise.
3. How long will it take me to complete the course?
It will take approximately 3 hours to work through the content and complete this course.
4. Can I access this course using my smartphone or tablet?
Yes. This course is available on both desktop and mobile. If you would like to do the course on a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the FIATA app for either Android or iOS, depending on your device.
5. Will I be assessed on this course?
Yes. The course includes summative assessments at the end of each module. You must complete and pass each assessment with at least 80% to progress on the course.
