About This Course
The Training of the Trainer Online Programme is an excellent way for you to start your journey to becoming an exceptional trainer and facilitator. There are four courses that form part of the online programme, this course being part 2. You will be required to complete all four online courses as a prerequisite to attending the Training of the Trainer facilitated workshop.
Part 2 consists of four modules.

- Module 4 covers information and communication technology
Peter began his seafaring career as a radio officer in 1980 with John Swire and OOCL. After serving in that capacity for several years, he obtained his undergraduate degree, a BSc (Hons) in Maritime Commerce from UWIST, Cardiff, UK and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from City University Business School of London. After graduation, he began his work in various departments within American President Lines and SeaLand Service Corporate before he joined Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Peter left PolyU in 1995 and went to Australia to obtain his MEd in Management and Policy from the Monash University.
He rejoined PolyU in 1998 and currently teaches degree and master degree courses specialising in liner shipping, airport management and airport commercial. Peter obtained his PhD from the University of Huddersfield, UK with research on mode and carrier choice of shippers in the Pearl River Delta, China.

2. Who should take this course?
FIATA guides association members to select industry domain experts and practitioners covering each of the 14 competencies in the FIATA minimum Standards to complete the Training of the Trainer Online Programme and the Training of the Trainer workshop. The domain experts should have at least five to eight years' vocational experience in any areas, or multiple areas of expertise.
3. How long will it take me to complete the course?
It will take approximately two hours to work through the content and complete this course
4. Can I access this course using my smartphone or tablet?
Yes. This course is available on both desktop and mobile. If you would like to do the course on a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the FIATA app for either Android or iOS, depending on your device.
5. Will I be assessed on this course?
Yes. The course includes summative assessments at the end of each module. You must complete and pass each assessment with at least 80% to progress on the course.
